The ribbons software distribution package (the software) for general molecular illustration and analysis in protein crystallography is copyrighted 1985-2007 by Mike Carson (the author) and licensed through the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Center for Biophysical Sciences and Technology (CBSE, formerly the CMC, Center for Macromolecular Crystallography).

The software is not public domain or open source (yet).
The copyrighted software is furnished under a license and may be used or copied only in accordance with the terms below:
